  4. Heat 1 Tbsp. of sesame oil in a pan and cook the tofu on all sides over medium heat until nicely browned and crisp; about 7 minutes.
  5. Turn the heat down to low. Add 2 Tbsp. of cooking Sake, 1 Tbsp. of sugar, 2 Tbsp. of soy sauce and 1 Tbsp. of Mirin to the pan.
  6. Stir for about 2 minutes. Halfway through, add 1 Tbsp. of white sesame seeds.

Place the cubed tofu into a sealable plastic bag or container. Pour the marinade over the tofu and shake until well coated. First squeeze out the liquid from the tofu (this works best when you wrap the tofu in a paper towel). Peel the garlic cloves and finely chop and grate the ginger. Make the sesame tofu: Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
